Biography

PEIWEN LIAO ('20) 27, born in Taipei, Taiwan, earned her graduate degree at Yale School of Music, studying with Hyo Kang. Peiwen has performed as a soloist with over 20 orchestras and has won several competitions, most recently the 2020 Alexander & Buono International String Competition Grand Prize. She is the founder of Wawa Music Go!, an outreach project that brings classical music to underserved and aboriginal communities.
