Biography

NINA PITTS ('18) 23, born in Jinhua, China, earned a bachelor's degree at Rice University Shepherd School of Music, studying with Brinton Averil Smith. Nina was selected to participate in both the New York String Orchestra Seminar and a mentorship program with Metropolitan Opera Orchestra cellist, Kari Docter. She holds an associate membership with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and serves as a substitute cellist for the New World Symphony.
