Biography

Marianne Ruel earned a development certificate and a master’s degree from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal under supervision of soprano Donna Brown and pianist Olivier Godin. In 2022, she won the first prize at the Pierre-De Saurel Classical Music Competition Festival. She also received her master’s degree with distinction and several excellence scholarships from the Foundation of the Conservatoire. Her appearances include La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi with the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute, The Son/Juniper Bird in The Juniper Tree and Dorothée in Cendrillon with the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. Marianne completed residencies at the Canadian Vocal Arts Institute (CVAI), Lachine International Vocal Academy, LIBERAinCANTO Stage Masterclass, and the Domaine Forget International Music Academy. She is grateful for this opportunity of training and growth at the Lehrer Vocal Institute of Music Academy. She believes that acquiring this precious knowledge will contribute to her journey of becoming a unique and more generous artist.
