Biography
Jillian Fischer is currently a PhD candidate in musicology at UCSB. Her main research interests center on popular music and the emergence of political extremism within heavy metal genres and communities. When she's not busy listening to people scream, she enjoys spending time with her two cats, baking (and eating) bread, and practicing the clarinet.
