Biography
Jakub is earning a master’s degree at Manhattan School of Music studying with David Geber. Awards include third prize at the Second International Gustav Mahler Cello Competition in Jihlava, Czech Republic in 2020 and second prize at the Rudolf Barshai International Strings Competition in 2021. Jakub is a member of the London-based Bernstein Piano Trio with Maria Espino Codes (violin) and Santa Barbara-born Ignas Maknickas (piano). Performances include a Side by side’ concert with the Czech Philharmonic conducted by Semyon Bychkov.
