Ian Pathak

Biography

Ian is a bachelor’s degree student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor studying with Scott Piper. There, he performed the roles of Rechtor and Komár in The Cunning Little Vixen. He recently appeared with Toledo Opera as Bogdanovitch in The Merry Widow and was an Aspen Music Festival 2022 Studio Artist. Recent awards include:

  • Director’s Award - James Toland Vocal Arts Competition (Tier II) 2022
  • 1st Place- National Society of Arts and Letters DC Chapter 2022
  • 2nd Place - Southern Illinois Young Artist Voice Competition 2022
  • Finalist -American Pops Orchestra NexGen National Competition 2022
  • Finalist - Undergraduate Schmidt Vocal Arts Competition 2022
  • Winner - Opera MODO Detroit Aria Competition-Rising star 2021
