Chaewon is a graduate student at Yale School of Music where she studies with Tai Murray. and earned her master’s degree at The Juilliard School. Recent awards include Semi-Finalist in the 2021 Prague Spring International Competition (String Quartet Division), and First Prize in the 2021 International Artist Award Scholarship Competition. Other awards include the 2020 Kumho Young Chamber Concert Audition (String quartet section), second prize in the 2017 Busan MBC Music Competition in 2017, and first prizes in the Strad Competition, Korea Herald Competition, Sung-Jung Music Competition, and Music Journal Competition. Chaewon was a full scholarship fellow oat Taipei Music Academy & Festival (2021) and the Blanc String Quartet (since 2019).
