Biography

Lehrer Vocal Institute Director of Artistic Operations

Andrew Sun attended the Music Academy as a vocal piano fellow for three summers (’15,’16,’18), during which he won both the 2019 Keston MAX fellowship and the 2018 Marilyn Horne Song Competition. Currently residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Andrew enjoys a varied career as an arts administrator and pianist. He is an alum of the Resident Artist Program at Minnesota Opera, where he now serves as Executive Assistant to the President. Andrew has previously served on the vocal coaching staff of the Manhattan School of Music and Berkshire Opera Festival, and has conducted for Saint Croix Valley Opera. He holds degrees from New York University and Manhattan School of Music, and is an alum of the Merola Opera Program.
