Called a “…performer of relentless intensity…” by the Boston Musical Intelligencer, Asher Severini studied solo piano at New England Conservatory as an undergraduate under acclaimed teachers Russell Sherman and Gabriel Chodos. During this time, he performed in the Elliott Carter Centennial Celebration performing Carter's Piano Sonata on a program with the Chiara String Quartet. During his time as a master's student at Westminster Choir College, Mr. Severini won first place in the Princeton Festival 2014 Piano Competition, Open Category, and the Richard Tang Yuk Award for Most Outstanding Artist. That same year, Mr. Severini attended MusicFest Perugia in Italy on invitation of pianist Steven Spooner. Asher Severini has played in masterclasses with Joseph Kalichstein, Natalya Antonova, Marina Lomazov, Steven Spooner, Igor Levit, Anne Epperson, and Donald Humphreys, and his chamber music teachers have included Mai Motobuchi, Jonathan Bass, Gabriel Chodos, Martin Beaver, and Robert Koenig.

Asher Severini is currently a doctoral candidate in collaborative piano at the University of California Santa Barbara where he studies with Professor Robert Koenig. At UCSB, Mr. Severini is a recipient of the Regents Fellowship Award. Mr. Severini has worked as a staff pianist at Interlochen Center for the Arts and has appeared in the United States and Europe in venues such as Jordan Hall and with the Atlantic Music Festival.
