Bridget Michaels has served as the Artistic Operations Coordinator at the Music Academy of the West since April 2019. She received her Bachelors of Music in Music Education with an emphasis in choral studies in 2015 from the University of Redlands, graduating summa cum laude. After finishing her degree and receiving her secondary teaching credential, she headed to Santa Barbara to pursue her masters degree in historical musicology. She completed the masters in May of 2018. During her time at UCSB, Bridget taught lecture courses in the history and culture of music, as well as hosted discussion sections for both non-music and music majors.

For the past three summers, Bridget has had the pleasure of working at the Music Academy of the West, as Vocal Institute Office Assistant in 2016 and 2017, and the Vocal Institute Manager in 2018. She looks forward to a new chapter in an expanded role as the Artistic Operations Coordinator.
