Krista is based in Houston where she teaches and performs. Krista was a resident artist with Opera North (2020) where she appeared as Königin der Nacht in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. This year, she sang the role of Adina in Gaetano Donizetti’s L'elisir D'amore with Operativo Houston and appeared with the Palm Springs Opera Guild in concert. She currently studies with Melanie Sonnenberg. Recent awards include the MIOpera Vocal Competition Emerging Artist Division Third Place Winner (2021), and Wednesday Morning Music Club of Austin Fielder Voice Advancement Grant Winner (2021).
