Biography
Marcus earned a bachelor’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with Jeffrey Irvine. Marcus participated in the 2019 New York String Orchestra Seminar led by Jaime Laredo and is a member of The Elless Quartet, which won the Grand Prize in the 2020 Coltman Chamber Music Competition. In 2021 he took Second Prize and the Prize for a work by a BIPOC composer inthe Ohio Viola Society Competition. Marcus is a viola teacher in the Shaker Heights Virtual Lesson Program.
