Paul Curran is an award-winning director and teacher. Paul served as the Artistic Director of the Norwegian National Opera from 2007 - 2012 and earned his graduate degree in Directing from NIDA (Sydney). Paul has directed productions worldwide with opera companies including ROH Covent Garden, the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, La Fenice, Los Angeles Opera, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Tokyo Opera, Santa Fe Opera, Maggio Musicale, Covent Garden Festival, Mariinsky Theatre, Dallas Opera, and Stuttgart Opera, amongst others. Paul has also translated and directed several plays, including works by Chekhov, Ostrovsky, and Moliere.
