Biography
BARTON SOPATA 23, born in Rome, Georgia, is earning his master's degree at Rice University Shepherd School of Music, studying with Barbara Butler. He was a semifinalist in the National Trumpet Competition in both 2021 and 2022 and performed as Principal Trumpet in Corigliano's opera The Ghosts of Versailles.
