Biography
MELANIE CHEN 21, born in Boston, Massachusetts, begins earning her master's degree this fall at The Juilliard School, studying with Natasha Brofsky. In 2023 she was a finalist in the Stulberg International String Competition and placed third in the MTNA Young Artist Performance Competition. Melanie also serves as a substitute cellist with the Nashville Symphony.
