Biography

BYEOL S. KIM ('20) 31, born in Pohang, Korea, is earning her doctorate at Northwestern University studying with James Giles, Jon Kimura Parker, and Enrico Elisi, and was named a 2019 Astral Artist and a 2020 Luminarts Laureate. In 2019, Byeol appeared as a soloist with the Bienen, Paderewski Pomeranian Philharmonic, Pomeranian Chamber, and Pohang Symphony orchestras.

In 2020 she was a winner of the Music Academy's Digital Challenge.
