BARTON SOPATA 23, born in Rome, Georgia, is earning his master's degree at Rice University Shepherd School of Music, studying with Barbara Butler. He won the National Trumpet Competition three times from 2021 to 2023 and performed as Principal Trumpet in Corigliano's opera The Ghosts of Versailles.
