AMELIA MERRIMAN 22, born in Newnan, Georgia, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, where she studied with Reid Messich. Ms. Merriman recently won first prize in the Samuel Fordis Young Artists' Concerto Competition, for which she performed the Mozart Oboe Concerto in C with the Georgia Philharmonic Orchestra.
